Bremerhaven Declaration on the Role of Museums in Addressing the Climate Crisis
The „Bremerhaven Declaration on the Role of Museums in Addressing the Climate Crisis“ was developed during the international symposium How To ...? From Climate Knowledge To Climate Action (see below).
The background was a paper with 10 points Henry McGhie (Curating Tomorrow) built from a survey of museum professionals working on climate change and combined with the UNFCCC process.
The declaration is supposed, on the one hand, to motivate museums from all fields to address the climate crisis. On the other hand, it is a call to political actors for support museums in this important task.
