Barrier-free through the Klimahaus

With few exceptions, the display and refreshment areas of the Klimahaus can be accessed barrier-free. Particularly in the four areas of The Journey, The Elements, Perspectives, Opportunities, the engineers and planners have ensured that both visitors with mobility difficulties and visitors with prams have easy access. Lifts, ramps and alternative route directions enable visitors in wheelchairs to experience practically the entirety of the exhibition area at close quarters

The entrance fee is reduced for those with a degree of disability in excess of 70%. If they have documentary proof of the requirement for a companion then entrance is naturally free of charge for the companion.

In every area of the exhibition there is at least one guide on duty who is always available to answer questions or if further assistance is required. Practically all interactive exhibits in the four exhibition areas can also be operated from a wheelchair
